DESCRIPTION:
Daniel Hubbard, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, 8 day, weight brass movement patent or banjo wall timepiece.
CONDITION:
Half round molded mahogany case in an old finish has with a chestnut backboard. The half round molded mahogany door and throat frame has numerous age cracks. The throat tablet is likely original as is it cracked and now has a front and back piece of glass to protect it. The bottom tablet looks replaced. Original painted dial has some loss at the mounting screws and shows surface stains. The signature appear original. Original hands. The movement is attached to the case with tabs cast as part of the backplate. It is also unusual in that the wheel spokes are very thin.
